I'm currently struggling with my current concept, so I'm considering changing it and using primarily Internet images. I want to stick with "the cycle of life and death" but I'm indecisive and I feel like "the cycle of History" (history repeats itself) would be interesting. I'm going to work on it this weekend to figure out what to do, but we'll see what will happen!

I want to do something along the lines of "the cycle of life and death" -- both in organic form as well as non-organic. To the left of the image I have something to do with the degeneration of stone and sculpture as well as a used cigarette. I plan on using the right to place in the image of the black widow consuming the grub. While I'm not sure where  I want to take this just yet, I do want to use the idea of a cycle of life and death, however the viewer chooses to interpret that.

Here is my scannogram for public use. If you want to use it in your work, make sure you are logged into your App State account and download it from there. https://drive.google.com/a/appstate.edu/file/d/0B8A6Wv7bMAZvV1NDWEJFRWFieVU/view?usp=sharing Additionally, I have not started work on my "iconic image" yet, but here is the scan with the halftone dots removed:

A very tiny bee head! Today I worked on reference images more than the actual file, so there isn't very much visible just yet...
