Project Statement and WIP
I want to do something along the lines of "the cycle of life and death" -- both in organic form as well as non-organic. To the left of the image I have something to do with the degeneration of stone and sculpture as well as a used cigarette. I plan on using the right to place in the image of the black widow consuming the grub. While I'm not sure where I want to take this just yet, I do want to use the idea of a cycle of life and death, however the viewer chooses to interpret that.
Revised Project 3
Before the final proofs were due for Project 3, I ended up changing my concept entirely so it would make a better statement. With this, I created something reflecting on extinction (and also mortality) by linking the sudden death of the dinosaurs by meteor with the atomic bomb and what it could potentially do to humanity. Before the print, I did tweak one of the men to be more of a focal point and I muted the mushroom cloud just a little to give him more dominance in the image.
